Sonata Arctica相較於Insomnium應該比較多人認識。相較於黑死唱腔，Sonata Arctica以極富速度感與清亮的歌謠唱腔更讓一般人能夠接受。(但那時的我比較喜歡死亡旋律金屬.... 現在反而比較不太能接受黑死腔了....)
極光奏鳴曲（英語：Sonata Arctica），或譯「北極奏鳴曲」，是一個1996年成立於芬蘭的力量金屬樂團。樂團曲風富旋律性，受到歐洲及日本廣大樂迷的喜愛。
